An Early Interest in Home Design
Chuck discovered a talent for home design in a high school drafting course. The first home built from his drawings was designed for his parents in Titusville, Florida.
He studied mechanical and civil engineering at Ohio State University before building a career focused on residential design.
Birmingham and the Firm
Chuck moved to Birmingham in 1991. A model home he designed for the Greystone community helped the practice grow through word of mouth.
Southern Living selected Frusterio to design the 2002 Renovation Idea House, Greywell Cottage, in Mountain Brook. The firm has also received 20 Best of Houzz awards from 2015 through 2025.
Community Work
Design in Service of Community
Chuck’s community work has included Pavilion Village in Kenya, Charity House Foundation, Jimmie Hale Mission, and Hannah Home.
