About Frusterio Design

Chuck Frusterio founded Frusterio Design and leads it as president. He found his talent for home design in a high school drafting course, and the first house built from his drawings was the one he designed for his parents in Titusville, Florida. He went on to study mechanical and civil engineering at Ohio State University. After moving to Birmingham in 1991, he designed a model home for the Greystone community, and word of mouth grew the practice from there. In 2002, Southern Living chose the firm to design its first Renovation Idea House, Greywell Cottage. Chuck loves to travel and to spend time with his wife and their two daughters.

Adam Little has designed homes with Frusterio since 2005 and serves as the firm’s lead designer. He has long been drawn to both art and residential design. What he enjoys most is the full arc of a project: getting to know each client, working through the detail of a plan set, and seeing a rough idea from those first conversations become a completed home. Outside the studio, Adam spends his time with his wife, Melissa, and their four children. He also enjoys camping, mountain biking, playing pickleball and watching movies.

Jake Dickinson is a project designer at Frusterio Design. He earned his degree in civil engineering from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and he brings that technical grounding to residential design along with a real appetite for problem-solving and creative work. Every project asks something different of him, and that variety is what he likes best, together with the friendships that grow with clients along the way. When he isn’t working, Jake is usually scuba diving, out on the golf course, or spending time with family.

Wes Thompson is Frusterio’s Director of Operations and Marketing. He brings more than 18 years of experience in digital marketing and website development, and he oversees both how the firm presents its design services and how the business runs from day to day. He enjoys the daily challenge of marketing a design practice. He takes particular satisfaction in building and refining the systems integration and automation behind the firm’s operations, the quiet infrastructure that keeps projects, inquiries and plans moving smoothly.
